Thought Bubble 2025

Another fantastic year @thoughtbubblefestival I think it’s a wonderful place to be, everyone is there because they love the medium of comics or they love the arts culture adjacent to it. It makes for a fantastic event. From the moment I arrived the team helped carry our gear and were so helpful. The venue was bursting with incredible talent, my only regret is I didn’t get to meet more people. As comic book artists our immune systems are terrible because we live in our own little worlds mainly on our own drawing and painting or writing or making so a lot of us were low grade ill the whole event. I had pink eyes when I woke up on Sunday, hope I didn’t scare anyone!

Many thanks to the simply wonderful @tomfosterart and @zanphee for being so welcoming. I sat next to them last year and they really made an effort to make me feel at home, last year and this. Great people. My table neighbours @hpmatt1984 and @silvia_califano_sc f were also lovely, so friendly and just so talented.

I got to meet the legend @simonharrison7409 who was everything you'd hope he'd be and more. He has drawn me the most incredible image of Feral from Strontium Dog but updated. I love it to bits…I mean it’s so brilliant. I look forward to getting to know Simon a little better in the coming years. A fascinating guy who lives up to the uniqueness of his work and a gracious and lovely bloke.

I had a catch up with @stevebullybull of the @77comics who is always a pleasure. The 77 team were sat opposite me with comics behemoth Simon Bisley.

Every single person who came to my table over the weekend were really lovely. I can honestly say I enjoyed meeting you all. It restores your faith in people.

What a nice crowd. Thank you all.

Oh P.S. I don’t thank him enough by my long time friend Vigs comes along to these events with me and is SOOOOO much help I worry what I’ll do once he decides he’s had his fill. Thanks mate.
